Donaghadee is a beautiful seaside town and it’s harbour is the nearest port to Scotland.
The lighthouse was built on the harbour wall in 1836 and was the first lighthouse in Ireland to be lit by electricity.
The lifeboat station at Donaghadee harbour, founded in 1910, is one of the most important on the Irish coast.
